Winchester Lake Fishery Gets a Boost of 6,000 Trout Today

WINCHESTER, ID - The Idaho Department of Fish and Game today stocked Winchester Lake with 6,000 catchable sized trout.  The fish are 10 to 12-inches in length.  Meanwhile, officials at Winchester Lake State Park say Bitterroot Loop is now open for first-come, first-served camping with power.  There is no water yet because it is still too cold at night.

IDFG will be stocking other area bodies of water next week. Waha will receive 3,000 trout, Robinson Pond will get 800 fish, and the Snake River Levee Pond will receive 1,500.
