Pierce Woman Uninjured in Collision on State Highway 11

WEIPPE, ID - An 18-year-old Pierce woman escaped injuries yesterday morning when she lost control of her 2006 Kia and crashed into Grasshopper Creek along State Highway 11.  The Clearwater County Sheriff's Office says Elizabeth Fitzwater was traveling southbound near milepost 21 when she crashed at about 7:30 a.m.

"Fitzwater lost control due to four inches of slush, crossed the center line, left the road, and stopped in Grasshopper Creek," a press release says.

Fitzwater was not injured in the collision.  Officials say her car has approximately $10,000 in damages.  There were no citations issued.
