CLARKSTON, WA - A 33-year-old man was arrested last night for allegedly committing a drive-by shooting in the 400 block of 10th Street in Clarkston.  According to the Clarkston Police Department, a resident told Officers that she heard gunshots and believed they were hitting her house at about 6:44 p.m.  This was the second incident of the resident hearing gunshots since the early morning hours, a police report says.

"The witness looked outside and observed a vehicle driving away and a male hanging out the passenger side holding a gun.  The witness told officers she is familiar with the suspect," a press release states.  No one inside the home was injured.
Officers investigated the scene of the shooting.  Evidence was collected and they developed leads as to the location of the suspect.

"Sgt. Boyd and Ofc. Barnes checked the area in front of the residence and found six spent [.22] caliber casings in the road in front of the residence.  There was also a 9mm casing as well," the police report adds.
At about 10:00 p.m., a Clarkston Officer located the alleged suspect in the 900 block of Bridge Street in Clarkston.

Stubblefield, who denied doing the alleged drive-by shooting, advised he had been living in Lewiston but is currently homeless.

In reviewing the scene, police reportedly located where four bullets hit the the residence.

"All four rounds hit the front of the residence facing the street.  At the time of the incident, [the witness] was sitting on a couch in the living room, which is at the front of the residence.  Two of the bullets that hit the house, entered through windows and were pointed in line with where [the witness] was seated.  The most direct shot at [the witness] was stopped by a big screen tv just on the other side of the front window.  Another shot went through another front window and hit the wall approximately two feet about [the witness's] head," according to the police report.
Investigators developed leads as to the identity of the driver of the suspect vehicle.  At this time, no additional arrests have been made.  The investigation is ongoing.
