One Killed, Two Others Injured in Idaho County Crash

WEIPPE, ID - A 42-year-old Portland woman was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Woodland Road at about 6:48 p.m. yesterday evening.  The Idaho State Police says alcohol is believed to be a factor in the collision which happened about eight miles from US 12, near Harrisburg Road.

A press release says a Chevrolet pickup driven by 26-year-old Cord Wilson of Paul, Idaho was traveling northbound when he lost control and went off the road.  The pickup traveled approximately 150 feet down an embankment.

Wilson's passenger, Tracy Schiedler, succumbed to injuries at the scene.  Wilson was airlifted to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, while 23-year-old Levi Larue was transported by ambulance to Clearwater Valley Hospital in Orofino.  Another passenger, 40-year-old Alicia Crume of Kamiah, refused medical transport.

None of the occupants were wearing seat belts.

The investigation is continuing.
