Bomb Threat Reported at Asotin High School

ASOTIN, WA - A bomb threat was reported at Asotin High School at about 2:40 p.m. this afternoon.  Asotin Police Chief Monte Renzelman says the schools were already out for the day, other than students in events and some students waiting for parents when the incident happened.

"The building was immediately evacuated and police were notified.  After arriving on scene a full-scale sweep of the entire school including the elementary was completed by Police, school administration, and custodial staff," Renzelman says in a press release.

Upon completion of the sweep at 4:05 p.m., the school was deemed all clear and safe, and students and staff were allowed back into the school.

The Asotin School Resource Officer will be completing a full investigation into the incident.
