Public Works Dept. Would Like Comments Regarding Transportation Projects

LEWISTON, ID - The City of Lewiston's Public Works Department has updated and developed transportation projects including pedestrian, bicycling, street improvements, transit, and corridor planning or studies for the 2019-2023 Lewiston Transportation Improvement Plan. The PWD would like the community's opinion and comments.

This 30-day public comment period is the community’s opportunity to comment on transportation projects. Written comments are encouraged and may be mailed to Public Works, P O Box 617, Lewiston, ID 83501 or emailed to no later than 12:00 p.m. on December 11, 2017. Comments may also be provided at the Public Hearing before City Council on December 11, 2017, typically at 6:00 p.m. in the upstairs meeting room at the City Library, 411 D Street, Lewiston, ID. The LTIP document is available electronically via the City website at or by calling or email Public Works 208-746-1316 or email Review copies have also been made available at City Hall, 1134 F Street in the City Clerk’s office and the lobby of City Hall, the Public Works Building at 215 D Street Suite B, and at the Library, 411 D Street.

In order for transportation projects in Lewiston to be considered for Federal funds through the Idaho Transportation Department (ITD), projects are subject to a 30-day public comment period. The City’s public review process must be completed prior to submitting projects to the ITD process.
