Hanging out with Turkeys: 2017 Results
LEWISTON, ID –Radio show hosts from Pacific Empire Radio lived in an RV sitting 30 feet in the air on the Roger’s Motors car lot November 2nd - November 4th to create awareness for the “Hanging out with Turkeys” food drive.
The radio station’s DJs broadcast live for 3 days on Hot Country 94.1, 101.5 Cat FM, and Classic Rock 102.9 letting listeners know why there was an RV sitting on top of storage containers. The eye catching event was able to bring in $1,534.40 and about 5,600 pounds of food this year. Half of the monetary donations and half of the food donations were divided between the Community Action Food Bank and the Asotin County Food Bank.
All area food banks are still looking for food and turkey donations. Pantries are low across our valley, so if you did not make it to the “Hanging Out with Turkeys” food drive, you can donate directly to a food bank.
