Chains Required on Snoqualmie Pass

EASTON, WA - UPDATE at 11:52 a.m.: I-90 Snoqualmie Pass EB is back open at MP 45. Chains required on all vehicles except AWD/4WD in both directions.


UPDATE at 10:50 a.m.: I-90 Snoqualmie Pass is closed EB at MP 45, just east of Snoqualmie Pass summit due to collisions. No estimate of a reopening time.


It continues to snow hard across the Washington Cascades.  Interstate 90 across Snoqualmie Pass is open but chains are required for all vehicles except for all-wheel drive.  The Washington State Patrol is writing $500 tickets for those not chaining up according to the Washington State Department of Transportation.
