Pollock, Idaho Residents Arrested For Allegedly Burglarizing Hoots Cafe in White Bird
WHITE BIRD, ID - Two Pollock, Idaho residents who allegedly burglarized Hoots Cafe in White Bird last month were arrested on March 4th in Oregon on multiple charges. The Idaho County Sheriff's Office says staff from the cafe reported that they had been burglarized overnight on February 23rd. Cash and business checks were taken during the incident, officials say.
"Idaho County Deputy Scott Paulsen and detectives responded and collected evidence as well as video of the burglary," a press release says.
Arrest warrants were subsequently secured for 31-year-old Shamra C. Dewitt for Felony Grand Theft and two counts of Misdemeanor Petit Theft; and 29-year-old Steeven G. Nunez was arrested for Felony Burglary, Felony Grand Theft, and two counts of Misdemeanor Petit Theft.
Dewitt and Nunez were arrested on the warrants on March 4th by Baker City Police in Oregon. BPD subsequently assisted ICSO Detective Sgt. Brian Hewson with a search of the vehicle where additional evidence was reportedly found.
Bond on Dewitt’s warrant is $25,000 and bond on Nunez is set at $50,000. At this time, neither has bonded and both are awaiting extradition to Idaho County.
