Driver Found From River Accident

Located Saturday

MYRTLE, ID – Work crews pulled a truck from the water this weekend.  The next day the body of the driver was pulled from the river about 6 miles downstream.  Witnesses say on Wednesday a little before 7:30 pm, 47 year old Rodney W. Grant of Lewiston lost control of his pickup and went into the Clearwater River.  It happened a few miles downriver from Myrtle, ID and the truck came to rest on the bottom of the river at Gibb’s Eddy.  Divers and work crews were unable to get to the truck until Saturday because conditions were too harsh from high, fast water to get to it.  Idaho State Police say they will continue to investigate the crash.
