Plane Lands With No Landing Gear
Video Attached Below
LEWISTON, ID - A plane with no landing gear came down safely tonight at the Lewiston Nez Perce County Airport. About 30 minutes before landing, the airport notified the Lewiston Fire Department that the plane's landing gear was malfunctioning and the pilot couldn't get it to come out. Two ambulances, a rescue truck, and the airport's fire engine stood by as the plane neared Lewiston. After circling once, the plane came down an empty runway and slid to a stop. The pilot and passenger both left the plane immediately, and undoubtedly breathed a sigh of relief before a quick celebratory hug. We don't yet know the name of the pilot or his passenger.
