WA DNR Hiring Temporary Firefighters
550 Jobs Open Next Year
OLYMPIA, WA – This year was one of the busiest for wildland firefighters. The Washington State Department of Natural Resources is already hiring for next year. Many of their firefighters responded locally to the Nisqually John Fire just downriver from Chief Timothy Park. During the fire, they stayed in tents at the school in Colton.
The DNR is looking for people to work through the fire season around the state. They need 550 people willing to live in camps and fight fires all day.
