Library Director Candidate Reception

Library Director Candidate Reception

Your Chance To Meet & Greet

LEWISTON, ID – The Lewiston Library is near to hiring a new Director.  They have narrowed it down to three candidates.  One is the Librarian for the Mountain View School District in the Grangeville area, one is from the Treasure Valley and has worked in and visited libraries all over the world while her husband moved around in the U.S. Army, and the other is the Library Director at Lincoln Library in Medicine Lodge, Kansas.

Thursday the Board of Trustees meets at 1:00 pm to discuss the issue.  Then, starting at 6:00 pm, there’s a reception where you can meet the three candidates for the job.  The reception is in the Library’s upstairs meeting room.

A press release from the City of Lewiston says this is your chance to tell them what you expect from your community library.  You can also write your thoughts on an input card.

The 1:00pm meeting is open to the public, but the part during which they’ll discuss the hiring is closed to everyone but the board members.

We have attached the potential directors’ biographies provided by the City of Lewiston below.
