Local Author Hopes Book Will Help Inmates

The Great Escape: Redeemed For Life

CULDESAC, ID – A local author is hoping she can help inmates have a better Christmas.  Kathleen Marchant wrote a book called “The Great Escape: Redeemed For Life”.  The Bible study details the struggles of people both behind bars and people struggling from what she calls metaphorical prisons.  Marchant says ministering to people in these prisons has become her “purpose”.

She originally came up with the idea for the book after ministering to women in a prison and finding out that some of the women inmates couldn’t attend the meeting because of the limits of the volunteer team and the facility.  She knew she needed to still reach those women who couldn’t be there.

The book is also available at Amazon and Barnes & Noble.  Marchant says if you’re not buying it for yourself, it can be sent directly from Amazon to prisons.
