Sunday Protest Of Steelhead Season Closure

Sunday Protest Of Steelhead Season Closure

Port Of Lewiston | Sunday | 10:30am

LEWISTON, ID – Protesters of the steelhead season closure are gathering this weekend to make a statement.   Sunday outfitters, guides, businesses, community organizations, and local fisherman are bringing their trailered boats to the Port of Lewiston.  The group will proceed through town, ending at the Southway Boat ramp to let the anti-steelhead fishing groups from Western Washington, Boise, and Moscow know that these Idahoans aren’t happy.

They’ll be gathering with their boats on trailers at 10:30 am at the Port of Lewiston.  They encourage anyone to join them.  If you would like to be a part of the protest, but you don’t have a boat, you can join them at the Soutway Boat Ramp on Snake River Avenue.

If you live in Riggins, there’s a protest on Saturday beginning at 11am.  They’ll be gathering at Riggins City Park.
