Martin Luther King, Jr. / Human Rights Day Events

Service Projects | YWCA | 2:00 pm

LEWISTON, ID – Lewis-Clark State College and the YWCA are teaming up to help the community on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.  January 21st is also Human Rights Day and LCSC faculty, staff, and students are volunteering in a variety of ways.  They’re encouraging anyone interested in also helping out to show up at the YWCA at 2:00 pm.

There are several service projects that need volunteers that day.  The projects last until 4:30 pm.  Afterward, there will be an informal reception at the YWCA followed by an LCSC student panel discussing human rights.  At about 5:45 pm, there’s a candlelight walk from the YWCA to the LCSC Center for Arts & History.

For more information, contact Chris Riggs with the LCSC Social Science Division at either or 208-792-2264.
