$150,000 Donation Funds LCSC’s New Auto Shop
From Rogers Motors
LEWISTON, ID – A $150,000 donation from Rogers Motors will help build the Schweitzer Center for Technical Education’s Auto Shop. The Lewis-Clark State College building will be named for Rogers Motors and will house the teaching of auto mechanics technology.
Talking about the donation, Ryan Rogers said “We see that the addition of this new building and the new technology will be a huge attraction for schools in the area and surrounding areas. It will be an opportunity for us to attract people who will do a good job in our industry. It will be a win-win for the community, it will be a win-win for the future students of the college, and it will be win-win for us as a dealership.”
The auto shop will be one part of the 75,000 square foot technology facility. It will cost roughly $20 million and should be open in time for the fall 2020 semester.
