Lapwai Community Coalition Members Of The Year
Two People, One Business
LAPWAI, ID – Two people and one business earned high honors from the Lapwai Community Coalition. The Lapwai Community Coalition is a group determined to help kids avoid drugs.
Crissy Garcia earned the Coalition Member of the Year award. Crissy has been with the group since it started in 2014. She volunteered and contributed to most of the events throughout the year.
Dawn Rose Ratcliff earned the Youth of the Year award. Dawn Rose has been part of the Next Gen Youth Council since it started three years ago. Last year she was the group’s Vice President.
Valley Foods in Lapwai is the Coalition Partner of the Year. Part of what earned them the award was the agreement to conduct the Alcohol Sticker Shock Campaign for the last three years.
The Lapwai Community Coalition was created through the Drug Free Communities Grant to the City of Lapwai. The group is a partnership of the community, volunteers, the Lapwai School District, and the Nez Perce Tribe.
