FBI Agent Shot In Lenore
LENORE, ID - An agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation was shot this morning in Lenore, ID. Nez Perce Tribal Spokeswoman Kayeloni Scott says the agent was serving a search warrant and the shooter has been taken into custody. The FBI's Public Affairs Specialist handling the case released a statement that simply says "On February 7, 2019, an FBI agent was shot while conducting court-authorized activity in Lenore, Idaho, near Lewiston. The agent suffered non-life threatening injuries. No other information will be released at this time."
We have reached out to the U.S. Attorney's office that is handling the case. They confirmed there was a shooting and that the person was taken into custody, but like the FBI, won't comment further on an active investigation.
We asked what the search warrant was for and who did the shooting, but neither office would release that information.
