Highway 26 To Be Detoured Again

Likely In Mid-April

OTHELLO, WA – The highway between Colfax and Othello is getting more work done.  Last fall a bridge east of Othello on Highway 26 was replaced.  It took much longer than expected for several reasons, but safety over the train tracks was one of the more important ones.  In order to get the work done before the snow flew, the construction included some temporary work.

Now the DOT is planning on finishing things up.  In a tweet today, the WSDOT said they’re planning for mid-April.  That means the detour that adds about 15 minutes to a trip west will last for about a week.

We will update you when the WSDOT has a final decision on the date.
