Hunter Ed Instructors Needed

Idaho Fish & Game

LEWISTON, ID – Idaho Fish & Game needs hunter education instructors.  A few yes-or-no questions posed by Fish & Game may help you decide: are you a safe and responsible hunter or trapper?  Are you passionate about hunting ethics?  Do you like sharing your knowledge and skills with youth and adults new to Idaho’s hunting traditions?

The volunteer instructors will need to attend one of the instructor training workshops coming up.  They are:
-Monday, March 18, Lewiston, IDFG Regional office, 3316 16th St.
-Wednesday, March 20, Orofino, Clearwater Hatchery, 118 Hatchery Roe Dr.
-Tuesday, March 26, Moscow, Latah County Fairgrounds Bldg, 1021 Harold St.
-Wednesday, March 27, Grangeville, Senior Center, County Road/Truck Route

All classes are free and will run from 5:30 pm until 8:30 pm.  They’ll provide pizza and drinks during the classes.

If you’re ready to volunteer to teach the next generation of hunter, RSVP by calling Volunteer Services Coordinator, Bill Seybold, at 208-799-5010, office or 208-790-6965 or by email at

If you cannot attend one of these upcoming classes, but are still interested in becoming an instructor, you can call or email to learn what other classes or training options are available.

If you’re not comfortable teaching alone, team-teaching opportunities may be available.  Call or e-mail for more info.
