Fires Out By 4pm In Asotin County

Open Burning | 9am - 4pm

ASOTIN COUNTY, WA – The burn season may be open, but there are still rules that must be followed.  On the first day of open burning yesterday the Asotin County Fire District responded to a fire on Highland Avenue at 7:37 pm.  It turned out to be a yard waste burn long after the burn hours were closed.  Firefighters headed to the same address again after midnight because it was still smoldering.

If you are burning yard waste, it must be outside of the Clarkston and Asotin city limits, it must be no more than four feet by four feet wide by three feet tall, and it must be out by 4:00 pm.

There are many things like grass and leaves that you’re not allowed to burn, so if you have questions, you can call 509-243-2002.
