Flooding Causes Road Closures

Idaho County

IDAHO COUNTY, ID – There is water crossing Highway 12 at Milepost 74 right now.  The Idaho County Sheriff has closed several roads and is warning that others have water on them or nearly on them.  Here’s the most recent info from the Sheriff’s Office:

Highway 13 is closed at Stites. The river has reached flooding stages. Please avoid the area if possible.

Highway 12 at MP 74 there are cones up as the water is crossing the roadway. It is not closed at this time, but use caution.

Clear Creek is flooding at the Fish Hatchery.

Again, please use caution and avoid the areas if possible.

UPDATE at 0700:

Additional road closures:

Red Rock Road, Lamb’s Grade and Yellow Bull are also closed due to water on the roadway.

Please use caution when driving due to the extremely wet conditions.

Road closure:

Luke’s Gulch is closed at this time due to water over the road.

There is water across the road on Highway 13 at Stites.

Please use caution while driving today due to the possibility of water on the roadway in all areas of the county.
