Account Set Up To Help Officer Shot Yesterday

Josh Rigney Was Off-Duty When Shot Twice

LEWISTON, ID - An account has been set up for donations to the Rigney family to help during his recovery. Officer Josh Rigney was shot twice yesterday while off-duty in his home before the suspect was shot on Burrell outside the fairgrounds.

The Tribal Spokesperson says Officer Rigney is doing well and is remaining stable. He is still in recovery at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.

The Tribe would like you to keep him and his family in your thoughts.

Officer Rigney is a husband, and father of three. He is a second generation police officer and has been with the Nez Perce Tribal Police Department for just over a year.

If anyone would like to make a monetary donation to Officer Rigney and his family, an account has been setup at Lewis Clark Credit Union.
