Power Line Likely Responsible For Fire Off Highway 12

No One, No Property Injured

ASOTIN COUNTY, WA - Yesterday's fire consumed about 3/4 of an acre of brush.  No one was hurt and the Asotin County Fire District had it extinguished before it damaged any property as well.  The cause can't be directly related to a downed power line yet, but investigators say it's likely what started the blaze.  The power line was across Highway 12 until Avista arrived.  Traffic safely drove over it without any problems.
