ALPOWA SUMMIT, WA – A Lewiston man was taken to the hospital by helicopter this morning.  At about 3:30 am, James M. Funke was headed westbound on Highway 12 when his vehicle tipped over, slid across the road, and stopped in the eastbound lane.  He was airlifted to St. Joseph Hospital in Lewiston with unknown injuries.  The Washington State Patrol report says he was wearing his seat belt.  The trailer he was pulling also tipped over, and the vehicle was declared totaled by the WSP.
