ITD Plan Seeks Public Comment
Future Of Highways, Bridges, & More
LEWISTON, ID – If you have something to say about ITD projects in north central Idaho, now’s the time to do it. The Idaho Transportation Department is accepting public comment through August 2nd on their plan for the next several years. The Transportation Improvement Plan is in draft form for fiscal years 2020-2026. What they call their “roadmap” covers changes to highways, bridges, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, safety, railroad crossings, airports, and more.
The plan includes project costs, property acquisition, and engineering.
Some local projects include the Highway 95 expansion plan for Thorncreek to Moscow starting next year if all goes as planned. It includes the work that has already begun, but will take a couple more years to complete, on Culdesac Canyon. It also includes Highway 12 between Kooskia and Montana. They have widening and resurfacing plans for parts of that road.
