Burn Ban In Effect
Garfield County & Pomeroy
GARFIELD COUNTY, WA – Garfield County is now under a level 1 burn ban. The county, including the city of Pomeroy, started the ban at 11:59 last night. That means you cannot do several things including agricultural burns regardless of permits, yard waste and pile burns are out of the question, and incendiary devices like exploding targets, sky lanterns, and tracer ammunition are also outlawed.
You are allowed to have recreational fires in commercially-made or approved pits. You can also use outdoor stoves, BBQs, and smokers that use natural gas, propane, pellets, and briquettes.
