Driver Airlifted After Log Truck Rolls

Grangemont Road

CLEARWATER COUNTY, ID – A log truck driver was airlifted to the hospital yesterday after his truck overturned.  It happened on Grangemont Road at Band Road outside of Orofino at about 9:24 am.  The Idaho State Police Report says 55-year-old Clinton Kiele was southbound on Grangemont Road when he failed to negotiate a right turn.  The load shifted and rolled the truck and trailer.  He was taken to the hospital with “serious injuries”.

Both lanes of the road were blocked by logs for several hours.   The ISP is continuing to investigate the crash.

*Correction: This story originally had the man's name as "Kiele Clinton" because of an error in the ISP report.
