Petition Drive To Establish a Downtown Business Improvement District Begins Sept 10

Lewiston, ID-- In conjunction with downtown property owners, Beautiful Downtown Lewiston Revitalization Corporation (BDL) will kick off a petition drive to develop a Business Improvement District (BID) in downtown Lewiston with an Open House on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at 5:30 p.m. The proposed BID would equitably assess commercial property owners in the historic commercial core and civic district of downtown Lewiston for a period of seven years to provide the resources necessary to implement the recently adopted Lewiston Downtown Master Plan and accelerate downtown Lewiston’s revitalization. Property owners in the district can indicate their support for the BID initiative by signing the petition. The Open House will be held in the Lewiston Orchid Room on the second floor of Morgan’s Alley at 301 Main Street in Lewiston. BDL Board members will present information about the proposed Downtown Lewiston BID boundaries, budget, and scope of work. Petition packets will be available for commercial property owners located in the proposed district and will be mailed on September 11 to property owners who are unable to attend the Open House. For commercial property owners unable to attend the September 10 Open House, a second public outreach session will occur at noon on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at the Lewiston City Library, 411 Main Street.
