Lewiston Fire Plans 9\11 Tribute

LEWISTON, ID - The Lewis-Clark Valley and surrounding first responders will pay tribute on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 to the emergency responders and civilians who perished in the attacks on September 11, 2001 with a procession of emergency vehicles. There will be no ceremony at Pioneer Park this year. Fire engines and other emergency response vehicles will gather at 2nd and Monroe Street in Asotin at 5:00 pm. The procession will begin at 5:30 pm and proceed past fire stations in Asotin, Asotin County Fire Protection District #1, Clarkston and Lewiston where flags will be lowered to half-staff as the procession motors pass each station.Citizens are encouraged to show their support along the normal procession route (see next page for map). If you have to drive to a spot in order to see the procession, please be mindful to park your vehicle safely and legally, and choose a safe place to observe when the procession passes. The fire service has embraced the phrase “We Will Never Forget” and it remains central in our tribute to those Firefighters who have answered their final alarm.
