Kaawa Voted Frontier Conference Attacker of the Week

WHITE FISH, Montana – After a dominant weekend on the court, Lewis-Clark State volleyball senior Brooke Kaawa has been voted the Frontier Conference Attacker of the Week. Kaawa filled up the stat sheet in the Warriors’ three matches over the weekend, totaling 39 kills, 42 digs, nine service aces and a .362 attack percentage to help LC State to a 2-1 record.
“I am so happy for Brooke and her team,” coach Shaun Pohlman said. “She has been working hard both physically and mentally and it’s exciting to see her hard work and focus pay off!”

In the win over NCAA Division III Whitworth on Friday, the Moanalua, Hawaii native notched a double-double with 15 kills and 25 digs. She added to her weekend in the win over NCAA DIII Whitman with 14 more kills and an impressive six service aces. In the final match of the weekend, Kaawa collected her fourth double-double of the season with 10 kills and 10 digs. She averaged 3.55 kills per set and 3.82 digs per set.

The Warriors host Walla Walla on Friday at 4 p.m. in the Activity Center.
