Physical Citizen Dispute at Locomotive Park Saturday Night

On 12/21/19, at about 7:40, Lewiston Police and Medics were dispatched to Locomotive Park for a physical citizen dispute. Police located Bryan Hites, 29 of Seattle, at the park. Hites was bleeding from a head wound. The investigation revealed Hites had been attacked by a group of six juveniles. During this attack, the juveniles took Hites' wallet containing his identification along with several credit cards. Hites was transported by ambulance to St Joseph Regional Medical Center for treatment. With the help of a friend of Hites, officers were able to track the usage of Hites' credit cards to McDonald's on 21st St and then to Albertson's on 21st St. When officers arrived at Albertson's, they located the six juveniles leaving the store with a cart full of items purchased with one of Hites' stolen cards. The juveniles still had Hites' wallet containing his identification and credit cards in their possession. The two primary principals of the crime, a 14 year old male from Lewiston and a 15 year old male from Lewiston, were arrested and lodged at JDC. They were both charged with Robbery and Fraudulent Use of a Financial Transaction Card, both felonies. The other four juveniles were identified and released to parents. Additional charges may be forthcoming. Hites condition is unknown at the time of this release.
