Homeless Man Wanted in Asotin County After Stabbing

On Monday Dec. 23, 2019 at approximately 11:30 p.m., Asotin County Deputies were advised of a stabbing victim currently at Tri State ER for treatment. Deputies arrived and contacted 43 year old Dustin K. Ankney of Clarkston.

Ankney stated that he had been at Wal Mart and met a male subject who was homeless. Ankney stated that he invited the subject to his residence at 2248 3rd Ave for dinner. Ankney and his girlfriend, Chantel Turner who was also in the residence, stated that the male subject was indignant over what he was being served and was verbally escalating. The male, later identified as 26 yoa William Bryan Walters a Native Alaskan male, was asked to leave the residence at which time he pulled out a knife and threatened Turner. Ankney was able to calm the situation and was escorting William’s to the front door when William’s turned and slashed the left bicep of Ankney and stabbed his left wrist. Ankney suffered serious injuries from the attack. His injuries will require further treatment according to the staff at Tri State ER.

William’s has not yet been located and should be considered armed and dangerous. He is described as a Native Alaskan male 5’ 8” tall 160lbs with shoulder length dark colored hair. He is armed with a bone handled knife. If you see this subject, call local law enforcement immediately. Williams is wanted for 2nd Degree Attempted Murder.
