Washington State Lawmakers Back Down from Flavored Vape Ban
OLYMPIA — First reported from Seattle Times Washington Lawmakers moved away from their proposal to ban flavored vape products and instead address the epidemic of youth vaping and nicotine addiction.
Senate Bill 6254 was introduced at the request of Gov. Jay Inslee, would have have a permanent emergency ban on flavored vape products that was approved by the Board of Health in October. The legislation would go on to raise the age to buy nicotine products to 21. In line with Washington's new tobacco and vapor law.
