Second Positive COVID-19 Disease Test Reported in Asotin County
Press Release | Asotin County Public Health
Asotin County Public Health District (ACPHD) was notified last night, April 3, 2020, of the second positive COVID-19 test for Asotin County.
The individual who tested positive is not hospitalized and is isolating at home. To protect the privacy of those testing
positive, information that may lead to a person’s identity being revealed will not be disclosed. ACPHD is notifying
potential close contacts and these individuals will be given additional guidance and advised of precautions they should take.
As more COVID-19 cases increase in our area, we are relying on the public to take action. This includes staying home and separating yourself from others, especially if you have been tested for COVID-19 and are awaiting test results, or if you were identified as a close contact of a confirmed positive COVID-19 case.
COVID-19 has shown that it is not limited to specific communities, work sites, or individuals. It is also known that a person can be infected with COVID-19 and be contagious while showing mild or no symptoms. This serves as a good reminder the Governor's "Stay Home, Stay Healthy" order, that was extended through May 4th, is essential to limit the spread of this virus throughout the Asotin communities.
