Southway Bridge Work Beginning June 22nd, Travel Delays Expected

Asotin County Public Works

Beginning Monday June 22nd resurfacing work will begin on the Southway Bridge. The bridge is scheduled to remain open during the project. Traffic will be reduced to two lanes. The work is expected to take about two months. The first phase of the project will shift two-way traffic to the north half of the bridge, while the south half of the bridge is being resurfaced. Traffic control and flaggers will be in place to direct traffic. Updates on future phases, ramp closures and other detours will be provided as the work progresses.

The public should expect delays during peak times and are encouraged to plan ahead when traveling through the Southway Bridge construction zone. Questions regarding this project can be directed to the Asotin County Public Works Department at (509)243-2074.
