Southway Bridge Work Has Begun, Travel Delays Expected

REMINDER: Resurfacing work began on the Southway Bridge this last Monday June 22nd and will last for approximately two months. The bridge is scheduled to remain open during the project. Traffic is reduced to two lanes. The first phase of the project is shifting two-way traffic to the north half of the bridge, while the south half of the bridge is being resurfaced. Traffic control and flaggers are in place to direct traffic. Updates on future phases, ramp closures and other detours will be provided as the work progresses.

The public should expect delays during peak times and are encouraged to plan ahead when traveling through the Southway Bridge construction zone. Questions regarding this project can be directed to the Asotin County Public Works Department at (509)243-2074.
