Air Quality Advisory in Effect for Clearwater County and North Sections of Lewis and Nez Perce Counties on the Nez Perce Reservation

Description of Air Quality Event: Due to wildfire smoke from local and regional wildfires, an Air Quality Advisory is issued for Clearwater County and the northern sections of Lewis and Nez Perce Counties on the Nez Perce Reservation including the cities of Orofino, Peck, and Lapwai. Depending on fire and wind activity, wildfire smoke may move in and out of these areas and shift into other communities. Some areas may be more impacted than others.
Affected Areas: Clearwater County and the northern sections of Lewis and Nez Perce Counties on the Nez Perce Reservation including the cities of Orofino, Peck, and Lapwai.
Air Quality Index (AQI) Category: Air quality is currently ranging from the “Moderate” to the “Very Unhealthy” categories of the Air Quality Index. Restrictions: No EPA/NPT burn permits will be approved.
