U of I Auditorium Chamber Music Series Returns for 34th Season
Press Release | University of Idaho
The University of Idaho’s Auditorium Chamber Music Series has brought concerts and educational performances by some of the world’s finest performers to the Palouse since 1986.
This year’s season will continue that tradition by presenting the following concerts:
- Nov. 10, 2020 – The Neave Trio (free virtual event, donations welcome): A critically acclaimed ensemble of violin, cello and piano that has performed at concert series and festivals worldwide, the program, co-sponsored by the U of I Women’s Center, will feature works by four women composers.
- Jan. 28, 2021 – St. Lawrence String Quartet: Performing since 1989, this string quartet (two violins, viola, and cello) has earned acclaim at top international chamber music competitions worldwide. As the ensemble-in-residence at Stanford University, the program will showcase expertise in music performance and education.
- April 14, 2021 - Chanticleer: Returning to Moscow with the program “Love, always,” this renowned 12-member male a cappella choir will perform music from Morley and Palestrina to Whitney Houston, unified by a common theme.
Concerts are at 7:30 p.m. in the University of Idaho’s Administration Building Auditorium or online.
The ACMS, a program in the College of Letters, Arts and Social Sciences, will determine whether the January and April concerts will be held in person about two months prior to each concert date. Check auditoriumseries.org, Facebook and Instagram for updates.
Due to the uncertainty of in-person events, ACMS will not offer season tickets. Individual tickets for in-person concerts are $25, $20 for patrons ages 60 and older and $10 for students. Email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 208-885-7557 for more information.
