Sweep of Dickinson State Earns Men’s Basketball Team of the Week Honors

CORVALLIS, Oregon – A sweep of the Dickinson State Blue Hawks to ring in the New Year earned the No. 7 Lewis-Clark State Men’s Basketball team the title of Cascade Conference Under Armour Team of the Week, announced by the conference on Sunday.

In the 2020 finale on Thursday, Travis Yenor and Hodges Bailey led the Warriors with 19 points each. Nathan Fromm made an immediate impact in his LC State debut with game-changing momentum in the second half. He totaled 11 points. LC shot 50.8 percent from the field and made good on 16-of-20 free throws.

Jake Albright had a standout performance in the first start of his career in the first contest of 2021. The senior from Clarkston, Wash. Scored a career-high 24 points and notched a double-double with 11 rebounds. He filled up the stat sheet with four blocks, three assists and a steal. Damek Mitchell added 22 point in the 100th-career victory for Austin Johnson (35 wins at Corban, 65 at LC State).

The Warriors travel to Caldwell on Monday for a neutral-court contest against William Jessup.
