Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office Notable Calls for 01/24/21

The Kootenai County Sheriff's Office Notable Calls for 01/24/21: 

Day Shift handled the following notable calls:

Health & Welfare called and asked us to assist in a welfare check on a 9 year old girl at a residence on W. Riverbend Ave. Deputies assisted and it was determined to be an unfounded report.

A Deputy conducted some follow-up with the fatality crash.  He attempted to contact the businesses to see if there was any video footage of the vehicles involved.

Today, Deputies spent a lot of time doing follow-up investigations and gather more statements for crimes/incidents that occurred over the weekend.

Evening Shift handled the following notable calls:

A Deputy responded to E Arthur Road for a theft report. The R/P reported that he had $720 stolen from his wallet. He suspected his roommates of stealing the money, however, during his investigation the Deputy was unable to prove any of the roommates stole the money. An inactive report was completed. 21-03857

A Deputy responded to N Crimson Drive for a report of a domestic dispute. It was reported by the R/P that his 13 year old son had struck him in the face after he attempted to take a bag of chips away from him. It was determined that the R/P had jokingly took the bag of chips from his son, which resulted in the son jokingly patting the R/P on the head. The R/P, who was intoxicated, responded by calling 911 to report the "battery".  21-03900

A Deputy stopped a vehicle at Government and Miles. The driver of the vehicle showed signs of impairment. A subsequent DUI investigation yielded that he was intoxicated, and he was arrested for DUI. The driver refused to provide a BrAC sample. 21-03904

Night Shift handled the following notable calls:

Deputies responded to E. Northwood Dr. for CPR in progress. Upon arrival, deputies located a male and immediately began CPR. Medical responded and were unable to revive the male.  Nothing suspicious was noted during the investigation. 21- 03937

Deputies responded to W. Kidd Island Rd for a trespassing/unwanted subject.  The R/P reported his adult was “high on meth” and hallucinating. The R/P reported that his son was waking everyone up in the house and being disruptive. Deputies arrived on scene and prior to their arrival the son had left the area on foot. Deputies located son’s ankle monitor cut off and lying in the residence. Deputies spoke to the R/P and learned no crime had been committed inside the residence. Deputies did complete an incident report. 21-03942
