Edmiston Named Player of the Week for Second Time in as Many Weeks

LCSC Press Release

CORVALLIS, Ore. - Jansen Edmiston of the No. 23 LC State Women’s Basketball team was voted the Cascade Conference Embrace Health-Santiam Hospital Player of the Week for the second week in a row, and the third time this season, on Monday morning. Edmiston was a key contributor in the success of the Warrior women’s team this last week.

In their home matchup against the Eastern Oregon Mountaineers, Edmiston racked up 11 points and accumulated eight assists. She showed her presence on the defensive side of the ball by helping hold EOU to just 61 points in the 79-61 victory. Edmiston picked the pockets of the Mountaineers three times and had a block and a rebound to boot.

Edmiston dominated in the Saturday meeting against The College of Idaho in Caldwell. She shot 50 percent from the field while gaining a game-high 20 points against the Yotes. Edmiston also shared the wealth by assisting on five more Warrior buckets. Edmiston rounded out her game on the day with four rebounds and two steals.

The Warrior women will be back in action this Friday and Saturday at home in a two-game series against Montana State-Billings.
