Fatality crash Pine St/Syringa Heights in Dover, ID

On February 12th, 2021 at approximately 5:43 PM a fatality crash occurred on Pine St near the intersection with Syringa Heights Rd in Dover, ID in Bonner County.  

Jon D. Briggs, 28, of Sandpoint, ID was driving a 1999 Lincoln Continental Westbound on Pine St when he drove across the eastbound lane and off the shoulder of the roadway. The vehicle impacted a culvert which caused it to roll, ejecting Briggs, as he was not wearing a seatbelt.  

Briggs was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigation continues.  Next of kin has been notified.
