WINTER STORM WARNING

THIS MORNING

Widespread snow will fall today.  Snow will linger in the Idaho Panhandle, Cascade Crest and portions of Eastern Washington today.  Moderate to heavy snow accumulations will be possible across Southeastern Washington,  the central Idaho Panhandle, and at Stevens Pass.  Be prepared for difficult driving conditions, especially during the Monday morning and evening commutes.

Coeur d`Alene Area-Idaho Palouse-Central Panhandle Mountains-Lewiston Area-Lewis and Southern Nez Perce Counties-Northeast Blue Mountains-Lower Garfield and Asotin Counties Washington Palouse-East Slopes Northern Cascades-

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Idaho...North Central Idaho...North Central Washington and Southeast Washington.

TODAY THROUGH SUNDAY

An active pattern should continue through a good portion of the remainder the workweek but will be coupled with gradually warming temperatures.

 

Lewiston Area:       

Today: 60% chance of snow and rain of less than a tenth inch, cloudy, gusts up to 14mph. high 41/ low 32.

Wednesday: Patchy morning fog, partly sunny day, mostly cloudy night, winds up to 6mph. 41/24.

Thursday: 60% chance of rain and snow of less than a half inch, mostly cloudy. 40/36.

Friday: 30% chance of rain and snow, mostly cloudy. 46/33.

Palouse Area:

Today: 60% chance of snow of 1 to 2 inches, cloudy, winds up to 15mph. 33/26.

Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, winds up to 9mph, areas of nighttime fog. 33/20.

Thursday: 30% chance of snow of 1 to 2 inches, patchy morning fog, mostly cloudy. 34/31.

Friday: 40% chance of snow and rain, mostly cloudy. 38/28.

Prairie Area:

Today: 80% chance of snow of 2 to 4 inches, winds up to 14mph, mostly cloudy. 33/25.

Wednesday: 20% chance of snow, partly sunny day, winds up to 14mph, patchy nighttime fog, mostly cloudy night. 32/18.

Thursday: 30% chance of snow of less than a half inch, mostly cloudy, 70% chance of nighttime snow. 34/30.

Friday: 50% chance of snow and rain, mostly cloudy. 38/27.
