Water Treatment Plant Groundbreaking Ceremony

City of Lewiston

LEWISTON -- The City of Lewiston would like to send a special invitation to members of the local news media for a groundbreaking ceremony on Tuesday, October 12th, celebrating the start of construction at the Water Treatment Plant.

Staff will be at the site starting at 4:45 p.m. for an open house, which would be a great opportunity to ask questions and conduct interviews, then the ceremony will begin at 5:15 p.m. Public Works Director Dustin Johnson will kick off the ceremony and then introduce the Mayor who will make a few comments. We will hear additional comments from City Manager Alan Nygaard, and then City Council members and staff that are present will grab a shovel for the ceremonial dig.

Due to concerns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, this ceremony is not being advertised as a community event. However, the City is excited about the progress of this important project and eager to share this news with the citizens via the community’s valued news media.
