Family of Three Injured and Rathdrum Man Arrested After Head-On Collision in Grangeville

GRANGEVILLE - On January 9, 2022, around 6:15 pm, Idaho County Dispatch received a report of a head-on collision on Highway 95 at milepost 241, near the entrance to Idaho Forest Group.

Officers located a red Dodge pickup and a white GMC Aracadia at the scene. The driver of the Dodge pickup was identified as 29-year-old Timothy Powers of Rathdrum, Idaho.

The three occupants of the GMC Aracadia, a male driver, a female adult passenger, and an 8-year-old child were transported to Syringa Hospital with injuries. All the occupants of the GMC were local residents.

After an investigation, Powers was arrested for aggravated driving under the influence and transported to the Idaho County Jail.
