CLARKSTON, WA – Chestnut Beach is back open again after bacterial contaminants are down to acceptable levels.  The popular swimming hole in Clarkston has been closed because of high levels of fecal coliforms. The bacteria come from human or animal waste and can make you sick.

LEWISTON, ID – Cole J. Marcell was arraigned today for the stabbing death of Clarkston resident Sarah N. Warden.  The Nez Perce County Sheriff’s Office’s report of the incident says the female body located near Mud Springs Pond in Lewis County, ID had identification on it that confirmed it was Warden.  An autopsy showed Warden had numerous slashes and puncture knife wounds, as well as possible blunt force trauma to the head.

CLARKSTON,WA – Early risers may need to adjust their routes to work next Thursday.  From midnight to 6:00 am on July 19th, the Roundabout underneath the Clarkston side of the Southway Bridge will be closed.  The Asotin County Road Department is painting lines on the road.

CLARKSTON, WA - Asotin County Sheriff's Deputies and Firefighters are currently looking for a missing teen.  He's a 15 year-old white male.  he was last seen wearing a gray shirt, black shorts, and a baseball cap that says "Mexico" on it.  He was last seen at 950 Vineland Drive.  That's north of the Clarkston Golf and Country Club.  If you've seen him call the dispatch center right away.  (509) 758-2331.

LEWISTON, ID – The road work planned for earlier this week on Gun Club Road has been rescheduled for tomorrow.  A drainage ditch is going in on the extension to Nez Perce Drive.  To get the pipe in, they have to dig up part of Gun Club Road.

BDL Unveils New Wraps To Beautify Downtown

LEWISTON, ID – If you were driving downtown in Lewiston at noon, you probably noticed a large group of people at 5th Street.  Beautiful Downtown Lewiston unveiled their new wraps that will cover the boxes on some chosen traffic lights.  The first one is covered with historic photos of that intersection along with a written explanation of those events.

CLARKSTON, WA – The Asotin County Fire District’s plan for a new station took another step forward.  Tuesday night, the District Commissioners signed the phase one construction contract with Crea Construction.  The contract was previously approved, but not signed while some background checking was done on the company.
