BOISE, ID – Idaho is beating the nation in unemployment.  The national average is 4%, and Idaho sat at 2.9% in June.  The seasonally adjusted rate for the state shows the 10th consecutive month below 3%.  The state’s labor force includes people 16 and older working or looking for work.  It increased by 971 people from May to June.

CLARKSTON, WA – The LC Valley Blaze softball team is headed to the Western National Tournament.  They’re raising money for expenses on the trip, so they’re having a car wash tomorrow.  It’s at the Edward Jones parking lot next to Wal Mart. 

Man In Stolen Car Passed Out At Gas Station

LEWISTON, ID – Lewiston Police officers responded to an allegedly intoxicated man who passed out at a gas station in a stolen vehicle with a stolen weapon, drugs, paraphernalia, and stolen property in it.  Just before 4:00 pm yesterday, officers went to the Maverik gas station on Thain Road when a clerk called because the man was passed out at one of the gas pumps.

LEWISTON, ID – Lewiston Police are asking you to be aware of tall grasses on your property.  Any grass or weeds that are 12 inches or more is a violation of city code and an extreme fire danger.

LEWISTON, ID – The air quality in Clarkston dropped from “Good” to “Moderate” at 8:00 am.  Fires burning in the northwest have sent smoke down into the valley.  There are no local fires burning right now.  Lewiston’s level is still considered “Good”. Lapwai is also “Moderate” right now.

LEWISTON, ID – Gun Club Road is getting patched right now.  It’s closed from Lapwai Road to Stewart Avenue.  They expect to finish the paving today and have the street open tonight.
