Lewis-Clark State College senior Matt Payne has won a couple of graphic design and artwork honors in his young career, including a piece that was featured on the cover of the entertainment section of a local newspaper. With his latest honor, however, he can now easily say that thousands have seen his work. Payne’s latest design is featured on a Vita Coco coconut water ad poster on display around New York City, including across the street from Pennsylvania Station and located near the Empire State Building, the East Village, and Brooklyn Heights.

Seattle – On January 19, 2021, The Washington State Patrol with the assistance of Seattle Police, arrested 26 year old Seattle resident Damon Huseman. He was arrested for Assault 2nd Degree, Felony Harassment and Criminal Trespass in connection with events that occurred on January 6th. The charges stem in part from his participation in the breach at the Governor’s Mansion and other incidents in relation to the protest that day.

OLYMPIA — A panel of federal judges, including a Trump appointee, today blocked the Trump Administration’s effort to repeal the Clean Power Plan and replace it with the so-called “Affordable Clean Energy” rule, which would not require significant carbon emission reductions. The ruling came in a challenge brought by Attorney General Bob Ferguson and a coalition of 22 states and seven local governments.

OLYMPIA – Today, the Washington Department of Ecology denied a Shoreline Conditional Use permit for the methanol facility proposed by Northwest Innovation Works in Kalama. A significant increase in greenhouse gas emissions and inconsistencies with the Shoreline Management Act were among the principal reasons for denying the permit.

CORVALLIS, Ore. – Men’s and women’s basketball teams from the College of Idaho and Lewis-Clark State College will participate in a revised Cascade Collegiate Conference tournament the conference office announced Tuesday. 

LEWISTON – The Idaho Transportation Board 129,000-pound subcommittee will meet Thursday to review an application to reclassify the weight limits of several highways in Latah County. After review, the subcommittee could provide a recommendation to the Idaho Transportation Board, which will make a final decision on the reclassification, or require further analysis by the department.
